Akinloye Dada a 25yrs old man has appeared before an Osun State Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ile-Ife over alleged stealing of a motorcycle.

Insp Mathew Imeprevour,the police prosecutor alleged that the accused committed the offence on May 19, 2016 around 10:00 am at Olouro village via Ile-Ife.

Imeprevour said that the accused stole one Red Boxer Bajaj Motorcycle valued at N180, 000  with Reg No: KRD 663, property of one Taiwo Oyedire.

He added that the offence was contrary to section 383 and punishable under section 390 (9) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol 11, Laws of Osun, 2003.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge of stealing and agreed that the court should sit on the matter.

The Defence Counsel, Mrs Modupe  Olufemi, applied for the bail of her client in most liberal terms, pleading that the accused would not jump bail, but provide substantial sureties.

Magistrate Olalekan Ijiyode granted the bail of the accused in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties each in like amount as he adjourned the case till June 20, for hearing.
