The PDP warned the members to urgently withdraw all the cases they instituted against Adeleke in court or be ready for sanctions. Leadership reports that a statement by Prince Diran Odeyemi, the deputy national publicity secretary of PDP, on Thursday, said the party was not happy with the myriads of cases instituted against it by members According to Odeyemi, any member of the PDP who has genuine interest in the party must not allow himself to be used by those who do not mean well for its progress. In his reaction, however, Akin Ogunbiyi, who was the runner during the Osun PDP gubernatorial primary, denied any link with the travail of Senator Adeleke. Speaking through Kunle Omolere, the director of strategy, Idera de Movement, Ogunbiyi said: “It is on record that the only case instituted by Dr Ogunbiyi was that of Osun West senatorial ticket which was brazenly taken away from him after all reconciliations to the contrary. The case had long been decided and the rest is left to posterity.” Pledging his loyalty to the PDP, Ogunbiyi but noted that there is nothing wrong with somebody approaching the court to seek justice when cheated. “The pursuit of the mandate of the PDP at the tribunal and other courts is the priority of all party members, and to the benefits of Osun people who are counting on the PDP. “Let it be clear that Dr Ogunbiyi is not doing and will not do anything to frustrate or undermine this shared vision. “It should also be clearly understood as well that if anybody is alleged to have acted in contrary to the law, he/she is obliged to rationally defend him/herself in the court and not put blames on an innocent man,” the statement said. earlier reported that a high court sitting in Abuja recently nullified the nomination of Senator Ademola Adeleke as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the September 2018, governorship election in Osun state. They prayed the court for an order to disqualify Adeleke from participating in the governorship election in the state on the grounds that he does not possess the requisite educational qualification.
