YENAGOA—GOVERNOR Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State has challenged Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, to sensitise youths on the dangers of pipeline vandalism, drug abuse, cultism and other related vices. He stressed the need for the apex Ijaw youth body to partner their respective state govern-ments, in enthroning peace and stability in Ijaw nation, rather than politicise its activities. Dickson gave the charge when the leadership of IYC, Central Zone, led by its Chairman, Tare Porri, called on him in Yenagoa. He challenged the youths to empower themselves so they can take over the mantle of leadership. In his remarks, the IYC leader, Porri, lauded the governor for championing the cause of Ijaw people.
