Photo: AFP UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, urged the global community to show patience and support in implementing the agreement made between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader, Kim Jong-Un in Singapore. “Implementing today’s and previous agreements reached, in accordance with relevant security council resolutions, will require patience and support from the global community,” the council spokesman, Stephen Dujarric, said in a statement on Tuesday. During a historic summit in Singapore, Trump and Kim signed an agreement demonstrating their commitment to establish new bilateral relations and to build a lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula. Pyongyang also reaffirmed its commitment to the denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula, while the U.S. pledged to provide security guarantees. (Sputnik/NAN)
