The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected the inclusion of Justice Joseph Oyewole as a member of the Osun State Governorship Election Appeal Tribunal.
The main opposition party said it has already petitioned the president of the court, objecting to the inclusion of Justice Oyewole in the appeal panel based on the clear likelihood of his being biased against the person of Senator Ademola Adeleke and the PDP, under which he contested the 2018 Osun State governorship election.

Following the alarming increase in insecurity across the country, the defeated presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has called on the federal government to put an end to its empty rhetorics and take urgent action to stem insecurity.
The former vice-president made the call Monday in a statement he personally signed, where he lamented that when the punishment for crimes are not forthcoming, criminals are emboldened to commit even worse crimes.
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and the party have stated that he is a Nigerian by birth as his parents both have roots in the North West and is therefore qualified to seek office of the president.

Ousted Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir has been transferred to a Khartoum prison following his toppling by the army last week, a source from his family told AFP on Wednesday.
“Last night, Bashir was transferred to Kober prison in Khartoum,” the source said without revealing his name for security reasons.
Bashir was ousted by the army last Thursday after four months of protests against his three decades of iron-fisted rule. The country’s new military rulers had said he was being held “in a secure place”.
